About Us...

Prop Rentals NY was born after I retired as Secondary School Theatre Program Director at Manhasset High School, which is on Long Island, in New York State. I directed over 60 full-length productions and collected hundreds of props over my 33 years as an educator. Many of them lived in my garage and basement. After I retired, my wife wanted her garage and basement back, so I decided to start my company. In the years that followed, I have been building the collection through purchases and construction. In 2011, I joined Avancy, Inc. Production Services. They are a great company which builds scenery and can provide lighting, audio, special effects or other rentals you might need for your production or event.
